How to Pitch: Outside

outiside.jpgKristen Elde chats with Outside senior editor Michael Roberts about the publication that targets “people who want more out of their vacation, more out of their daily life, and who are committed to healthy, active living.”
Unlike other outdoorsy publications, Outside is hoping to keep up to date with pop culture, so pop culture keeps up with it. Do pitch interesting profiles, “Dispatches” and fresh reviews with the urban yet rugged sophisticate in mind. Do not pitch “The Hard Way.” Unless pitching “Dispatches,” please pitch concisely via snail mail.
By the way, I have not been outside in three years. Is this what’s going on nowadays? The countryside is being overrun by hunktors in swim trunks?
