Over the past decade, Scripps Networks has built a cable television empire on its "lifestyle networks." As it acquired channels and perfected TV shows such as Food Network's 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray, HGTV's House Hunters, and Fine Living's What You Get For the Money, Scripps launched sites corresponding to each channel to complement and flesh out the on-air content.
