Q: I published a letter to the editor in the New York Times and I'm pretty proud of it. Can I put that on my resume or CV?

A: I recently had to put together a CV for school, and based on my experience doing that, I think listing letters published in prestigious publications definitely can be put in there. I also checked with mb resumer revamper David Twersky about what he thought. He said:

A writer can list that in a special section of their resume that highlights some of their top published works. They can also list it in a highlights or profile section at the head of the resume, which is an optional way of tagging a writer's "greatest hits". Additionally, a writer can have an online portfolio that provides a link to said prestigious pieces.
