HR Q's: Harper Collins

475Harper3.bmp When I was graduating from college and was blissfully unaware how impossible it was to get a job, I thought that working at a publishing house sounded really neat. I'd wear cute glasses and pore over promising manuscripts and bring my work home with me in a tastefully beaten-up attache.

Yeah.

I've given up that ghost but if you haven't, Jill Singer chats with Greg Giangrande, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Harper Collins about how you can get your foot in the door.

Quick tip: make sure your cover letter is spell-checked thoroughly, and that you convey that you want to work specifically for Harper Collins, not just publishing in general.
