Novel Ways to Find Hires
Through events, lectures, parties, and fun contests. Sounds a lot like what mediabistro does everyday! In keeping with their silicon valley ways, Google has partnered with mediabistro to develop novel ways to attract candidates in hard to fill jobs like ad sales. Google has sponsored several mediabistro cocktail parties, as well as considered sponsoring an online media quiz and targeted Scoop Job emails. The Times article points out that the basic strategy is to lure talent through ". . .no-pressure recruiting occasions meant to create excitement around their companies and impress potential recruits." |
