Usually, when Gawker mentions mediabistro, it's not in the most flattering way. Even today they have a mb-related post on there, but I thought it was heartwarming to see on another item the tribute headline, "How Not to Pitch Rolling Stone."

Aside from that little bit of self-referencialry, the post is quite fun. Think you get mad when your pitches get turned down by editors? At least you're not accused rapist Peter Braunstein. "This is baffling. Have you looked into lithium? Wherever I worked, be it at WWD, W, Village Voice, etc., my stuff has always caught buzz."
