Pitching an Agent: Rick Broadhead & Associates Literary Agency

overboarddd.jpgAs an author and a (get this) Canadian, Rick Broadhead has a unique perspective on the publishing world, especially as one that believes that agencies don’t need to be standoffish to be successful: “Don’t listen to the people who say don’t trust a literary agent that approaches you-that a good literary agent is too busy to be chasing down authors. Nothing could be further from the truth. A good agent is out there chasing clients,” he tells Aileen Gallagher. This might be the agency for you if you have nonfiction or business–just don’t sent poetry. And do NOT paste your manuscript into your email pitch (which should be concise.)
