This is another TK because hopefully I will be getting input from editors on this. This is going to be the section where editors send me bad pitch letters they have received so that writers can see what NOT to do when pitching.

Today's Wild Pitch comes from Editor Editrix, from Ye Olde Magazine.

"I got this pitch a while ago from a writer in Detroit:"

Dear Editor:

Here is my awesome idea and why you should take it. The idea is awesome and so are you and so am I. I really like your magazine and think you're cute. I would really like to publish this article and make some money. This idea is great. Thanks very much.

I barely made it through the first sentence when I realized this person is not getting the job. They were flip, had a bad idea and obviously knew nothing about Ye Olde Magazine. Also, you don't sign "love" on a pitch. So that's a no.
