In case you’ve ever wondered what the life of a paid blogger is like, it’s certainly not secure. As FishBowlNY scooped yesterday, Gawker Media is closing shop on its Oddjack blog, which was dedicated to gambling. While we wish editor AJ Daulerio the best (he once performed a cartwheel just for us), it just goes to show that ‘buzz’ (i.e. traffic) is a difficult beast to harness and that there is no magic bullet for a successful blog.
