Without a doubt this is the most divisive topic I have encountered amongst freelance writers since I've begun at this blog. So rather than offer my unwanted two cents on writing for free and whether it's absolutely stupid or occasionally necessary, I offer Yuwanda Black's thoughts on three occasions when it may (or may not) be all right to give the milk away for free.
