ToolBox Timetable

8_2_vs.jpgMBToolBox from here on out is going to strive to bring you more information on upcoming contests and events that might be of reader interest–but I need said readers to keep me in the know! If you’ve heard of a cool reception, conference, reading, talk, tour–anything that one of your fellow writers or editors might be interested in–please drop me a line, as I’ll be looking for events every week. A few things coming up in the near and distant future:

November Short Story Contests (About Fiction Writing)
The Creative Writing Experience is offering an early registration discount on its Spain and Italy summer writing workshops through January (and if you’ve always wanted an excuse to go to Florence, this one is as good as any.)
The World Fantasy Convention has come and gone but if you’re interested in signing up for next year’s, you can read A.C. Crispin’s recap on this year’s here.
And for my Chicago peeps, “Chicago Review is pleased to announce FLYOVER CITY, a celebration in honor of Chicago Review’s 60th anniversary. Three poets from three countries—Lisa Robertson, John
Wilkinson, and Devin Johnston—will read from their work, and
the John Lennox Band will supply music.” More info here.
