oscar96: “I recently was called by a national magazine for a summer internship interview. Only problem: They want me to come to NY for the interview. I really can’t afford that, but I don’t want to make it look like I’m lazy. Is it wrong to ask for a phone interview?”
media_zero: “If it’s $400/week, ask them to pay for your trip and if they hire you, tell them you’ll forego your first week’s pay. If they don’t hire you, you’re not out anything.”
