Ms. Rachel Kramer Bussel takes on Lucky magazine today, exploring her conflicted thoughts on the shopping pub. I was very interested to read this because I avoid Lucky so as not to end up like that girl Karyn who had to raise money to pay her credit card bills. Then again, maybe I'd have a book deal if I did that. Anyway, Rachel says, "There's something equally seductive and repulsive about a magazine that's an unabashed, nonstop paean to consumerism. But the hating is easy. It's wanting the items that's a bit trickier." Sing it, sister. That's how I feel about 85% of the pop culture I ingest.
