booksinthetrash.jpgIt’s so exciting when you publish a book! Until you realize that other than you and your mom, nobody seems to notice that it’s been published. Tom Ciesielka from TC Public Relations has some tips via the Society of Midland Authors on what to do when your book is getting zero publicity.
Meanwhile, Desiree Day at Absolute Write has some tips on “unique” ways to promote your book. I think magnets and a blog are good ideas (because you can get traffic for free and people like to stick free things on their refrigerators) but wearing sweatpants with the name of your book on it seems not quite right.
Rachel Carrington, also at Absolute Write, has a few more practical tips on books publicity: keeping track of your promotions is a good idea, as you can quickly lose a contact by asking over and over again, “Did I send you my book?”
