About the organization:

ASI is the only professional organization in the United States devoted solely to the advancement of indexing, abstracting, and database building. In publishing, compiling the index to a non-fiction book has usually been the responsibility of the author, who often farms out the task to a freelance indexer or book packager.

To join, you must:
Membership in ASI is open to all interested persons: professional indexers, editors, publishers, librarians, and anyone else curious about indexing.

Regular – $150 annual
