Two on-air TV personalities at Cleveland’s WJW Channel 8—sports personality Dan Coughlin and reporter Belinda Prinz have accepted buyouts and will be leaving the station by the end of June, the Plain Dealer reports. And weekend sportscaster Dr. Marvell Scott at WABC/Ch. 7 in New York City has decided to turn his extended vacation from television into a permanent one—he’s leaving to finish a sports medicine degree and a fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, N.J.
Both Prinz and Coughlin were career Clevelanders, having spent all their careers (except one year in Coughlin’s case) in the Cleveland media industry.
So two down to I know not where, and one lost to medicine.
Best of luck to everyone!
