Dow Jones & Co is restructuring into five business groups, promoting some execs, hiring more, and axing others.

, who was former chief operating officer of the Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group; Bill Voltmer, senior vice president of global sales and client solutions at Dow Jones; and Alan Scott, senior vice president and CMO of the Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group, are leaving the company “and they depart with our admiration and thanks,” wrote president Todd Larsen in a memo sent to staff. Also, Bruce Macfarlane “has decided to leave the company but will work closely with Christine [Brendle] on enterprise strategy and Lee Wood on sales to ease the transition through the coming months.”

Meanwhile, the following execs are getting promoted:

Kelly Leach, previously vice president for business management at the Wall Street Journal, becomes general manager of the Journal “where she will be responsible for the business of the Journal in print.”

Joe Lanza, vice president and managing editor for sales and trading, is being promoted to president of the Financial Markets group “where he will oversee the core Newswires business as well as drive growth in vital areas such as investment banking, sales and trading, wealth management and private markets.”

Scott Shulman, previously president of Dow Jones Financial Information Services, becomes president for the Corporate Markets group.

Dennis Cahill is named senior vice president for technology and will lead the new combined technology organization.

Lee Wood, formerly vice president of sales for the Americas, becomes senior vice president for enterprise sales and client solutions.

Ann Sarnoff, president of Dow Jones Ventures, also becomes senior vice president for strategy.

Andrew Langhoff remains publisher of The Wall Street Journal Europe and becomes managing director for EMEA for Dow Jones.

Christine Brendle remains publisher of The Wall Street Journal Asia and becomes managing director for Asia/Pacific for Dow Jones.

Jennifer Jehn joins Dow Jones as senior vice president for marketing. She was previously SVP for marketing, online, and human resources at the New York Post.
