Mediabistro Circus: Mobile Media Panel
At the Mediabistro Circus yesterday in New York City, four media executives talked about the state of cell phones on our mobile media panel, where I (Jamie Lendino) was the moderator. The panelists said among other things that for cell phone media, it's best to keep things simple, and to leverage as many cross-platform promotional tactics as possible. "Mobile interfaces are still so basic in most cases, you have to make it as drop-dead simple as possible for most users," said Richard Trumble, executive director, digital strategy and operations for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, which includes WSJ.com, MarketWatch.com Barrons.com and other properties, as per today's MediaPost write-up.
