Linux's Competition for Mobile Phones are Other 'Nix-esThere have been many predictions over the past decade or so that Linux's time has come for the desktop. More recently many people (including me) though that its time had come for the netbook (before that illusion faded). There's been some thought that Linux might get some marketshare in the mboile phone market. But, a funny thing happened last year: The first Google Android based phone was released (the T-Mobile G1). And, suddenly, and once again, Linux's greatest competition was another version of itself (Android in this case). And, it is no more clearly illustrated than this item from CNET Crave...
