White MacBook Discoloration Issue Migrating to iPhone 3G S?The first generation of white MacBooks (2006) had a problem with it the wrist-wrest area around the trackpad area. It became discolored (generally a brownish color) after some weeks or months of use. My guess is that it was caused by some interaction between the heat generated in that area and the hand/palm/wrist "oils" that came into contact with it. It looks like the new iPhone 3G S has a similar end-result (no guesses on the cause) according to Engadget... White iPhone 3GS reportedly overheats, turns a browner shade of white This is based on just one report according to Engadget. So, I took a look at the... Apple Discussions: Forum: iPhone 3GS ...However, I could not find any discussions about this problem after a quick search and then some manual (reading) topic scanning.
