BlackBerry Supports Will.i.am's DipdiveFurthering its attempt to show that it's not just for business users anymore, Research in Motion is working with Will.i.am to make content from the hip-hop artist's Dipdive site accessible on the BlackBerry, Reuters reports. Dipdive is a politically oriented blog/social networking site where social commentary and politics meet up with music videos. One of the site's main features is Will.i.am's video for the "Yes We Can" song recorded to support Barack Obama's run for the White House. The site encourages users to upload their own content, download and share the videos and post comments. RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie told Reuters that consumers typically consider social networking and content downloading as separate things, but the lines are starting to blur. Balsillie considers Dipdive as a good example of this merging. And now, with the BlackBerry support, RIM is doing its part to further blur the line between mobile and the Web.
