Time magazine has developed a version of its Time.com Web site just for iPhone and iPod touch users. According to Mobile Marketer, the new mobile site was designed to provide "a rich visual experience - sliding pages, expanding images - along with access to the latest news, analysis and photography from the site."

The ad-supported site, powered by Crisp Wireless, takes advantage of the "sliding" feature of the Apple browser, which lets users slide between pages instead of having to wait for the browser to refresh. The new site also makes it easier, and more comfortable, for users to read longer articles that are often deemed unreadable on a phone's small screen.

Readers who visit www.time.com from their iPhone or iPod touch browser will automatically be sent to the new site.
