New Service Turns Cell Phone into 'Virtual Sommelier'

Next time you need to figure out what type of wine to buy to go with dinner, your cell phone can help. Design and technology company FINE Design Group and Napa Valley winery Foster's Wine Estates Americas have launched eWineMatch.com, a real-time food and wine pairing service, for both the Web and mobile phones.

Mobile users can send a text message to 411511 and enter a meal, key ingredient or cuisine. The "virtual sommelier" system will respond with three wine choices.
