Who Needs a Card? Text Your Valentine Instead.
According to Internet infrastructure provider VeriSign, more than 2.2 billion mobile messages, both SMS and multimedia, will be sent and received on February 14 in North America alone. For the past two years, text-happy lovers have helped the volume of mobile messages traveling over VeriSign's servers jump 40% on Valentine's Day over an average day, the company said. Over two billion messages in a single day is quite impressive, considering that in all of 2006 VeriSign's servers enabled 43 billion mobile messages. Email This Post |
