Mobile Posse Adds Sports with STATS
Mobile Posse, one of those new companies that delivers content and ads to the mobile phone's idle screen, has inked a deal to offer sports content from STATS LLC.
The agreement gives Mobile Posse real-time scores and news from MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, college football and basketball and NASCAR.
Mobile Posse is a permission-based service that delivers free content to consumers who opt-in to receive promotions and offers in exchange for the content. According to internal surveys of Mobile Posse subscribers, sports ranks fairly high in terms of content they want to receive. The company says that sports-related content consistently produces idle screen click-through rates of 20% or more.
