New Media Ad Spending to Hit $12.6 Billion: ReportA new study predicts that ad spending on "new multimedia" platforms will rise to $12.6 billion over the next five years, MediaDailyNews reports. That figure breaks down as follows: - $6 billion will go mainly to embedded video advertising and some general broadband multimedia advertising. - Mobile news and entertainment will get $5 billion, dominated by display and search. - Non-linear TV services, such as video-on-demand and DVRs, will yield about $1 billion in revenue, with interactive ad spots leading the way, the report said.
