Ad-supported mobile game distributor Greystripe has inked a deal to add games from Sega to its free game catalog.

The partnership will initially make three classic Sega titles available to mobile gamers through Greystripe's 50 Catalog Platform partners and its own GameJump.com portal. These games include Sonic Jump, in which Sonic the Hedgehog jumps from platform to platform to stop the evil Dr. Eggman; arcade favorite Afterburner II, where players fight swarms of supersonic enemy fighter jets; and Golden Axe, which takes the hero on an adventure to save the land of Yuria from evil forces.

All three titles will take advantage of Greystripe's AdWRAP mobile advertising network, which keeps the games free for consumers but still lets publishers make money from the downloads.

Greystripe's model seems to be working. The company recently celebrated its 50-millionth free game download less than 20 months after launching the service.
