Hands-On Mobile is crowing about Guitar Hero III Mobile sales and statistics. The game, which debuted on Verizon Wireless, has seen nearly a million downloads worldwide.

One of the fastest-selling mobile games, it was the best-seller on Verizon Wireless in Q1. Wannabe rockers in the US play some 250,000 songs a day across all carriers. The most popular tunes include "Slow Ride," "Mississippi Queen" and "Black Magic Woman."

Next up for the game is the June Song Pack, a feature that gives subscribers the opportunity to download three new songs every month. New tracks available in June include "Stricken," "Talk Dirty to Me" and "Rock and Roll All Nite." The Song Pack Downloads will give players access to more than 50 new tunes within a year of the game's release.
