Midomi Mobile Users Sing for their Song IDFor everyone out there who gets a snippet of a tune stuck in their mind but can’t figure out what song it's from, take heart. All you have to do is sing, hum or whistle it into your mobile phone and Midomi Mobile will tell you what it is. Provided that the song is in its database, of course. The new application is a mobile version of the Midomi music search application from Melodis Corporation and uses the Melodis Multimodal Adaptive Recognition System (MARS) to identify the songs. Midomi's database includes a user-generated repository that is populated by the Midomi community who've contributed their own versions. The free application is initially available for Symbian and Nokia S60 phones. Support for additional platforms is planned. Email This Post |
