Smith Micro has come out with a new version of its QuickLink Music PC-based music management software for cell phones. Version 2.0 adds the ability to transfer playlists from the PC to the phone, play MP4 files and backup and restore music files on the phone. Also new is metadata fingerprinting that automatically fills in a song’s name, artist, album info and whatnot; a Mini Player mode and direct download support for eMusic.
