As it prepares for the general availability of its Skyfire mobile browser later this year, Skyfire Labs has been busy bolstering its executive team. The newest addition is Adam Sexton, who joins as chief marketing officer. Once named to Advertising Age's list of the Top 100 Marketing Executives in the United States, Sexton joins from mobile music platform start-up Groove Mobile, which was acquired by LiveWire Mobile in March.

In his new role, Sexton will head up all marketing initiatives at Skyfire, including product management and marketing, customer acquisition and retention and revenue programs.

Skyfire's mobile browser delivers a true PC experience to your cell phone, including support for Flash and all other Web 2.0 standards.

The addition of Sexton follows just a couple weeks after the company added Mike Rowehl as scalability architect. Rowehl, who writes for the This Is Mobility blog, was most recently founder and CEO of Mowser, whose "mobilizer" technology turns Web pages into mobile-friendly WAP sites.
