TMZ.com, the Hollywood gossip site, just started a cross-carrier mobile site that will bring its "heady mix of salacious celebrity news and video" to the tiny screen, MediaPost reports.

Here's how to check it out: either enter TMZ.com into any cell phone Web browser, or text 52662 to get the link sent to your phone.

Fans can also sign up for breaking news alerts sent via text message, the report said. The alerts "let users browse recent headlines and updated photo galleries, participate in mobile polls, watch videos and read story previews that will air in the daily TMZ television show."

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is sponsoring the site, using AOL's Third Screen Media and Quattro Wireless as a delivery mechanism for the ads, according to the article.
