Yahoo To Put Ads on Planet 3
Yahoo has landed a deal to become the exclusive provider of banner ads and sponsored links for 3 UK, Cellular-news reports. Starting later this month, Yahoo will take over selling all the ad inventory for the carrier's Planet 3 mobile content and services portal.
3 UK has a proven audience willing to accept mobile advertising. One of the Planet 3 services, which lets users watch music videos for free in exchange for viewing a targeted video ad, has some 1.4 million subscribers, the article says.
Yahoo provides mobile advertising services to carriers in nearly two dozen countries.
