Boost Mobile, Amobee Team on Ad ProgramSprint's Boost Mobile unit, a pre-paid cell service targeting young adults, is launching a new ad program in partnership with Amobee and its wireless ad-serving platform. So far, movie studio Fox Searchlight and luxury car maker Acura have signed on as advertisers. The first ads will push Fox Searchlight's upcoming flick "Street Kings" and the new Acura 2009 TSX. mocoNews points out that these are somewhat interesting choices for launch advertisers since most of Boost's 4.6 million customers are under 30. According to the post, the ads will automatically appear on the Boost homepage and storefront, but customers can call customer service to opt-out of receiving them. Call? Isn't texting the preferred method for the under-30 crowd? What a way to discourage them from opting-out. Email This Post |
