BusinessWeek Ambivalent on Apple TV
If you like idea of taking movies and TV shows with you, and don't mind purchasing them a la carte, an iPod is a great choice. The problem is that Apple still only sells movies from three movie studios -- Disney, Lionsgate, and Paramount -- which works out to about 400 films. Apple TV lets you watch those on your main living room screen, which means you can shuffle content back and forth from your pocket to your living room. A great idea, but video quality that looks great on an iPod screen apparently looks quite poor on a 42-inch plasma TV. Apple TV's Blurry Future [BusinessWeek] Email This Post |
