Nokia Goes After AppleNokia is getting into the online music store game. According to Engadget, Nokia is planning to launch a standalone online music download store sometime this month. "The mobile phone kingpin appears to be positioning itself as a direct competitor for Apple and iTunes before the iPhone makes its way into European markets sometime later this year," according to the report. The story says that the music service will be available "worldwide," and will consist of about one million songs at launch, much less than the five million that Apple currently sells in the iTunes Store. Still, more competition is good, though as some of the comments in the thread put it, there are already a lot of online music stores floundering on the market as it is, with new ones appearing seemingly every day.
