AOL to Feature Hearst, Conde Nast, Time in New PortalAOL plans to announce Feb. 20 that it is launching a home portal that will derive its content from Hearst Magazines, Time Inc. and Condé Nast, according to a new Mediaweek report. The new channel, AOL Home, will draw from the Web sites of Hearst's Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Country Living and House Beautiful. It will also feature content from Condé Nast's Domino and Architectural Digest. Meanwhile, Time Inc. will pony up articles from This Old House and Real Simple. The new portal will feature videos of Eric Stromer of TLC's Clean Sweep and Rib Hills of Extreme Makeover's Home Edition. There's no word yet on how much of this will make it over to the mobile side. But AOL has a fairly strong presence there to begin with, and several of the above sites already have mobile offerings in place. Email This Post |
