Mobile Search Advertising to SoarThe mobile search advertising market will surge from $815 million in 2008 to $5 billion by 2013, according to new research published Wednesday, Adweek reports. ABI Research said that search will become as important in the mobile space as on the desktop. Moreover, consumers will have escalating options to conduct searches by SMS and via branded providers, which will help advertising growth, the report said. ABI predicts that the total number of mobile searches done in 2013 will be 76 billion, up from a projected 13 billion in 2008. "There is a lot of development momentum for Web content on mobile phones," ABI research director Michael Wolf said in the report. "The move toward Web-based applications means browser and Web services engines will become increasingly important." Email This Post |
