DVD Jon's DoubleTwist Liberates Your Media"DVD Jon," the young man who gained infamy in 2002 when he hacked through the DVD encryption format and shared the fruits of his labors, appears to have gone legit. Now 24, Jon Lech Johansen is CTO of doubleTwist, a company he co-founded last year. This week the company unveiled its first products, including a platform that lets consumers share their digital media files on all of their mobile devices, telecoms.com reports. The releases include doubleTwist desktop, which lets users share, enjoy and sync their media files between various devices, and Twist me, a Facebook app that lets you share content from within your profiles. Initial device support includes the Sony PSP, Nokia N Series, Sony Ericsson Walkman and Cybershot phones, LG Viewty and some Windows Mobile smartphones, the article says. Support for the iPhone is coming soon. Email This Post |
