Itsmy.com, the mobile community site that apparently needs a serious redesign, has chosen Taptu, a mobile entertainment search platform, to power Itsmy.com's search engine and index its mobile-friendly Web content.

Itsmy.com currently claims over 2.5 million users and 4.5 million mobile home pages, along with mobile social networking services such as personal mobile TV broadcasting and location-based services.

Taptu said in a statement that its service helps find "the best of the Web for mobile phones," and can serve content to handsets that formats properly and be shared among friends. Last year, Itsmy.com added background music and background images for its users' various mobile home pages. Seriously, though, the hot pink and purple is killing us.
