Music recognition and discovery specialist Gracenote has teamed up with mobile content platform provider Ikivo to create a mobile music discovery platform that's feature-rich and easy to deploy, Mobile Entertainment reports.

Gracenote will contribute the back-end stuff, including its Mobile Music ID tool that can identify a song you hear playing in the background, its Global Media Database that can recognize more than seven million CDs and other tools for music search, e-commerce and playlisting. Ikivo will contribute the front-end with its Enrich application framework that includes music management software with a mobile SVG-based interface that delivers smooth, Flash-like graphics, the article says.
