Ever try to transfer cell phone photos off your handset? With some models it can be a real pain. Fourth-ranked wireless carrier T-Mobile USA hopes to change that with the T-Mobile cameo, a digital picture frame connected to the Internet, RCR Wireless News reports.

The Parrot-built frame comes with its own phone number and e-mail address, meaning that T-Mobile customers with camera phones can send their photos directly to the frame, the report said. "The cameo works with any mobile phone from any network, but pictures must be sent as MMS messages or e-mails. Once the frame owner accepts a photo from a sender, they can direct the frame to automatically load all photos sent from that person immediately, with no permission."

The cameo costs $100 plus $10 per month, and features a USB connection and micro-SD card. It's available today in T-Mobile stores. It's hard to say if there's a market for a subscription-based digital photo frame, now that most phones comes with microSD card slots that make photo transfers easy. Two years ago this could have been really hot.
