Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 Gives Windows Mobile Touch Screen Smartphones a Fresh View
As a long time Windows Mobile user and, quite frankly, a fan, I've been sad to see it negelected. While there have been internal improvement aimed mostly at enterprises running Exchange Server, the average non-Exchange-served Windows Mobile user (me) hasn't really seen much improvement since Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition was released in the spring of 2004. Fortunately, like Windows XP, however, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition was a capable OS (though often paired with underpowered processors) and is still useful a half-decade later. A number of firms stopped waiting for Microsoft to provide at least a visual facelift and have taken it upon themselves to try to make Windows Mobile look better and provide the end-user a friendlier look and feel. Spb Software released the latest version of their effort yesterday... It provides a nice looking app launcher, task manager, contact photo management, small applets they call widgets, and, as you can see above, and interesting 3D Carousel to view its various screen interfaces. You can see a large number of screenshots of Spb Mobile Shell's various views at... Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 screenshots Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 is available for $29.95. Email This Post |
