Warning: Sunday Styles to Coin Trendy Name for 'Silicon Alley 2.0' [FishbowlNY]
People, get ready for a trendy new Web 2.0 term, courtesy of Sunday Styles. We've heard that fingerpulsing Warren St. John is prepping a profile on the redux of the burgeoning downtown indie dotcom scene Gawker Media, Curbed, Daily Candy, flavorpill, The Onion, College Humor et al pitching it to profilees as "sort of a Silicon Alley 2.0." But, surely, Silicon Alley 2.0 couldn't be the best term for this collective, and we suspect St. John's got something buzzier up his sleeve.
Gawker's New Home? [FishbowlNY]
Word on the Soho streets is that founder Nick Denton is eyeing space for his rag-tag NYC staff. The street-level retail space at 89 Crosby between Spring and Prince, including a small entrance at 250 Lafayette is within spitting distance of Denton's own $1.87 million digs at 81 Spring. Oh, and there appears to be an adjacent massage parlor perfect.
SXSW 24X7 [Unbeige]
That's right kids, it's Time For Texas. We're gonna mosey on down to Austin tomorrow for the SXSW Interactive Festival, where the geeks rule the South. Everybody who's anybody who has a blog will be there. Which we guess is pretty much everybody. We'll be live blogging from as many sessions we can stick our little press pass into, conducting mini-interviews with designers, and taking pictures of drunk people.

Sort of a 'For Your Consideration' Ad in Reverse [FishbowlLA]
An internet discussion group called 'The Ultimate Brokeback Forum' bought space for this full-page ad in today's national edition of Variety thanking the makers, cast, and crew of Brokeback Mountain (as well as Jack and Ennis) for "transforming countless lives."
Caroline Ridding defects from Tesco [GalleyCat]
The woman responsible for picking which books are sold by Tesco which, being the UK equivalent of Wal-Mart or Costco, is a very powerful post is leaving to join up with HarperCollins, effective May 1.
Pop Quiz: Laura Miller, Salon Senior Books Writer [MBToolBox]
MB: You've done a lot of interviews for Salon. What have you learned about what makes a good interview, or how to salvage a mediocre one?
Miller: A few things: Have a list of questions so you don't panic about forgetting what to ask, but be willing to toss it out.
