Always Apologize On A Saturday, and Other Media Lessons from Arianna Huffington [FishbowlLA]
What are Saturday mornings for? Taking out the trash, running to the dry-cleaner, and, if you're a media figure besotted by unwanted attention in the press, releasing an apology for your misdeeds which you hope will clear your reputation but in terms of actual coverage will slip between news cycles.
A Bit of Paid Stuff, For Free [FishbowlNY]
It's frustrating to search for stuff when what you really want is from publications you don't subscribe to. They've signed up dozens of media and financial publishers, who'll offer some of their paid content for free.

If there's one thing you don't do, it's pilfer a logo when you're a company that makes design software. Not good. Well, looks like Quark went back to the drawing board and came up with something new.
New Editorial Page Editor At The Examiner [FishbowlDC]
Word on the street has it that The Examiner will soon announce the apppointment of Mark Tapscott as their new editorial page editor. Tapscott takes over the position previously occupied by David Mastio before he left way back in June. FishbowlDC's own Patrick Gavin has been holding down the fort ever since.
