hillary_clinton_bust_sex_museum.jpgMuseum Of Sex To Unveil Hillary Clinton's Presidential 'Bust' [FishbowlNY]
A presidential bust of Hillary Clinton is set to be unveiled at the Museum of Sex on August 9. Daniel Edwards, the controversial artist who brought us the Britney Spears' birthing statue, says the sculpture captures Clinton's cleavage to portray "sexual power" and that the work was inspired by a remark made by Sharon Stone about Clinton. Not sure what's more disturbing here: The sculpture itself, or that someone is producing art inspired by Sharon Stone quotes.

CNN Dubs Iraq 'The Forgotten War' [TVNewser]
Afghanistan is often referred to as "the forgotten war." But now that label applies to Iraq. CNN's Arwa Damon penned this piece for CNN.com on Monday, then followed it up with a package on Tuesday.

Liberals Don't Control the Media — Focus Groups Do [FishbowlLA]
The Orange County Register is launching a mini-me tabloid called OC Post that promises shorter stories "in an easy-to-read, slimmer format for people on the go."

Good Morning America Names New Executive Producers [TVNewser]
Here's the long-awaited official announcement: "Jim Murphy, the longtime news producer and former executive producer of the CBS Evening News, has been named senior executive producer of Good Morning America effective immediately. In addition, GMA senior broadcast producer, Tom Cibrowski, will become executive producer at the beginning of September."

Wait, On the Road Was Edited? [GalleyCat]
David Perry of the Lowell Sun reports that hometown boy Jack Kerouac's On the Road will be republished next year in a new, unexpurgated edition. The new version will restore several scenes that were deleted from the book in 1957 "because of the censorship of the time," according to Kerouac's literary executor, John Sampas.

DailyComedy.com Launches With Backing Of Big Guns [FishbowlNY]
Against a backdrop of an increasingly crowded market of humor sites on the Web, DailyComedy.com — a sort of Huffington Post for "professional comics" — has launched with the help of some prominent backers: Web designer Roger Black, ex-ESPN CEO Bill Grimes, ex-AOL editorial director and HeadButler.com founder Jesse Kornbluth, among others. Yet the design of the site, despite Black's presence, is far from revolutionary.

Industrial Design Supersite Now An Industrial-Strength Design Job-Hunting Supersite [UnBeige]
Core77 has relaunched Coroflot, a portfolio site and job board that's still completely free for you, a design job-hunting superstar, to use. Core77 says they'll probably top 34,000 portfolios today.

Running Blog Empire Leaves Huffington Enough Free Time to Judge Blog Contest [GalleyCat]
The Lulu Blooker Prize is back, and this year's panel of judges weighing in on blogs that get turned into books includes Arianna Huffington, the editor of HuffingtonPost.com, along with Julie Powell, who won the first Blooker earlier this year for Julie & Julia. The prize money's been jacked up to $10,000 this year, so if you've been meaning to turn your blog into a book, get cracking.

Edit Your Own Damn Self [MBToolbox]
How on earth do you begin the drudgery of editing your own work before you show it to somebody else? Lee Masterson at Absolute Write has a handy dandy list of edits to do to polish up your piece without going nuts.
