Breaking: Yahoo, Microsoft Pact Done: Yahoo Cedes Search to Redmond

yahoo72909.jpgBreaking: The deal is done: Yahoo is officially partnering with Microsoft, a 10-year revenue-sharing deal that will allow Microsoft to integrate Yahoo's core search technologies into its own search platforms. The ultimate goal: to take down (or at least put a dent into) Google. The deal gives Microsoft roughly 28 percent of the total search engine market.
