Lou Dobbs Leaving CNN

Dobbs_11.10.jpgBreaking:Longtime CNN anchor Lou Dobbs announced on his show tonight that he is leaving the network. "I've talked extensively with [CNN/U.S. president] Jonathan Klein," said Dobbs, "and as a result of those talks, Jon and I have agreed to a release from my contract." Dobbs joined CNN in 1980 and was one of the original anchors on the news channel. Dobbs says he hopes to "engage in constructive problem solving as well as to contribute positively to the great understanding of the issues of our day." He'll continue his daily radio show while "considering a number of options, and directions."
