Tribune Co. Files For Bankruptcy

trib1208.jpgBreaking: Tribune Company has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In an internal memo, owner Sam Zell tells staffers, "This filing should not impact the way you do your jobs on a day-to-day basis." The media conglomerate, which includes the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, six other newspapers and 23 television stations, is $13 billion in debt.
