The CIA Agent Behind Argo

argo.jpgToday on the Morning Media Menu, we spoke with former CIA agent Antonio Mendez about his book, Argo: How the CIA and Hollywood Pulled Off the Most Audacious Rescue in History.

Mendez explained how he assembled a team of agents to rescue stranded diplomats in Iran at the height of a hostage situation that erupted in 1979. Using elaborate disguises, Hollywood contacts and a movie script, they rescued the captives--inspiring the new movie, Argo.
